Marv is an award winning photographer known for his nature, art and concert photography. His work has appeared in a variety of publications including Downbeat, Shutterbug, the Boston Globe, the Boston Herald, Detroit Live, Block Magazine, Jazz Times and Japan Jazz Magazine. He has published a book of concert photography, “Rocking’ The Flying Monkey”. He has photographed a long list of musicians including John Mayall, James Cotton, Jefferson Starship, J Geils, Catherine Russell, Brad Whitford, Eddie Money, James Montgomery, the Outlaws, Johnny Winter and Arlo Guthrie.
Marv has studied with such world renowned photographers as Art Wolfe (PBS’ “Travels to the Edge”), Eirik Johnson, and Craig Tanner. He was a co-founder and first moderator of the Bedford Center for the Arts Photo Group and is a mentor at MassArt and a past member of its Advisory Council.
